If you’ve downloaded a free trial of LogMeIn, you’ll get a 30 day trial of LogMeIn Pro². If you’re like me and you only need the bare bones functionality of LogMeIn Free to access a remote computer, there are 4 simple steps to downgrade LogMeIn to the free version.

Note that I’m doing this on a Mac.

Click on the LogMeIn icon in your Menu Bar and select ‘Open LogMeIn…’

Select ‘About’ from the LogMeIn application menu on the left and click the “Switch Account or Subscription” button.

Login to your LogMeIn account with your email address and password and click the ‘Next’ button

Select “LogMeIn Free” from the Available subscriptions drop-down, check the ‘Restart LogMeIn Now’ checkbox and click ‘Finish’

And that’s it!
